Damaged Role Model
I've never actually met her
 My role model
 I probably never will
 But that's okay with me
She's the one that had the confidence
 Confidence to voice her issues
 To stay strong and
Encourage strength in all that adore her

This amazing woman isn't just my role model
Girls of all ages look up to this woman
And draw courage from her words and music
She is a real human being who has chosen not
To hide her passed issues and instead
 Use them to help others
She has chosen to be our role model
And she take that position seriously

With all she's been through she could have spiraled
In fact she did hit rock bottom
But she chose to get help and recover
 She continues recovery every day
At such a young age, she dealt with so much
In her own head and with substance
With her body image and self harm
Yet she has managed to become an inspiring person

Her struggles and recovery have inspired me and others
Her music always makes my day brighter
It's honestly my choice of drug now
Unbeknownst to her, she's helped me tame my demons
My role model is not someone who is perfect
Her past and life are and have been damaged
But that is the reason she's my role model
She's been down, but she has over come

One day I may grow out of her music,
But I will always "stay strong"
