Burnt Cookies.
Every hopeful letter, email, improved report card,
I would stop wishing for after second grade.
All the cookies and batter I left in the oven I'd forgotten about;
And they would burn in the matter of seconds.
All the useless equations I learned in math class,
all the pointless facts that were drilled through my brain in Biology,
were insignificant because I'd forget them once the last bell rang.
But you are different.
There is something about your satanic eyes.
Something about the way you would kissed.
How you would climb from my naval to my lips to the top of my head.
You're voice was toxic, slowly killing me with every word that you said. Something I'd never forget, even though you wasted so much of my time. Something I remembered for 11 months, 25 days, 6 hours, and 12 minutes. You are something I'd never forget.
