An Affliction of the Heart
Brated breath,
Thundering heart,
Dry lips,
An uneasy stomach.
Oh, how I wished to be brave,
Or wise,
Or had an ounce of common sense,
But sadly, these things mean nothing when it comes to what I feel.
It started like the common cold, but grew to be a sickness,
One so deep every breath hurt to take,
Every word hurt to say,
Every second being agony without a cure.
You are that cure,
The remedy to my affliction,
The want and need for you will heal me,
So please…
Take my love.
