Insidious Denial
Aching all over,
Skin darkly grey and dead,
Hunger clawing at my body,
Too long,
Too long.
So vibrant and full of life,
Shining your grace all around,
I can feel the love and power from your soul,
And skin,
So soft and pleasant.
The hunger grew wild,
Too powerful to control,
It wants to break free and wreck havoc,
To that soft skin,
To that pleasant skin.
I am sorry,
That it happened,
I didn’t mean for it,
And yet I did,
But it wasn’t your fault.
It was mine.
