Nothing will ever be the same
We live in a world with crime and hate
Where everyone judges to clean their slate
Walking through the streets, I hear the church bells ringing
Every day, searching for a new beginning
Hating the mornings and going to school
Friends doing drugs just to be cool
Their parents don’t see, they must be blind
Props to the kids that are on their grind
Everyone says they want all the fame
But only the ones who work will be in the game
There are families who sleep in comfy beds
There are families who struggle to put a roof over their heads
I used to be that kid out in the rain
With a bunch of regrets and filled with pain
But today is a new day
And nothing will ever be the same
