When did life get so complicated?
When did responsibilities become necessities?
Why are things at unrest?
Was it the loss of innocence?

How could a world, Change so drastically?
A matter of years,
The carefree playground days,
Seem to have disappeared.

Although life is different now,
Those memories I hold tight,
Never cease to remind me
The pathway I had to fight.

The mirror reveals truth,
It’s an interesting thing.
What do I see?
Eyes drawn to the memories that have made me,
Me.

What used to be will never be.
Life is a roller-coaster.
I will see what the future brings.
Being You
One of these days You will see How your actions truly affected me.
You will see the pain The scars that will never fade The tears that will never again remain
You will acquire the truth. What it means to love What it means to give and receive The idea of honesty
I hope one day You will find in yourself The will to carry on To move forward To let the past be the past And amount for the future
I hope you find happiness again Not through the bottle But by being you
The one everyone dearly loved. The one that everyone looked up to The one that created laughter in the moments of terror The one that was stronger than the enemies waiting to tear you apart The one that could make everything better
The one that was my hero and role model
