The sky opens up
and cries the tears of a thousand heartbreaks.

It shoots anger and agony
in a flash of light.

A roar of frustration startles the town.

Floods of fear fill cracks and ditches.

But, no matter how strong the storms may be,
rain doesn’t last forever.
