Indifference
Gentle breezes stroke my complexion like an eagle feather
Nestled in the downy pearl of the synthetic,
Blackened eyes watch your frame-tall and lanky
Tapping feet replicate in my mind
Lights dance, limbs break, the rays trickle through thick and dusty windows
Trod on the weak, but embrace the strong
Eyes will stalk their prey, lips devour the tender flesh
Heaven and Hell wage war from the shuttering sapphire seas
Snow falls like a mother’s desire-soft yet firm
Mental strain grips my fleeting sanity with an iron fist
Flowers lace my nasal passages with their redolent petals
Delicate children crawl to the fading light
Families struggle to survive, living on paltry dreams
I can only see what compels me,
They witness the elder ruin
Falling from your pockets, the keys to my secrets
Hope is buried with your decaying memory
Rebirth fails like childhood
Breathlessness is my only feeling
