Birdy
Hair as dark as soil after storm,
Eyes like golden droplets of melting sun.
 Dripping. Dripping. Dripping.

Her laugh is airy and light.
Like a breath of cool morning air,
 Stinging against the tongue,
 Burning bliss.

 Tripping into infinity
 Head first.
Her careless nature drags her away,
Pulls her, picks her up, and throws her into the sky,
Where she sits amongst the diamonds
 Flapping her soft white wings.

 Fragility is her mobility.
 Anchored halfway off the ground,
 Short of the stars.
Unsure, on the boarder of insecure,
And yet her strength is undeniable.
 Dripping.
 Burning.
 Tripping.
 Beautiful.
 Birdy.
