It's Okay Fighter
I look around.
I look at people.
I look at you.
I see your smiles.
So convincing,
Yet so fake.
I look deep into your eyes,
And I can see it.
I can see your pain.
The pain you are sick of feeling.
I know,
Because I felt that pain too.
I use to be that person.
The one in the corner,
Sitting alone.
Quiet.
And never talking.
Never look up.
Never say anything to anyone.
But Now,
I can't sit around,
Thinking that you may,
Or may not
Give up.
I look at you closely.
I see the little details in you.
Ones that make me smile,
And ones that make me frown.
I know how you use to smile.
Now its all a fake.
But what you don't understand is that,
Its okay, to be different.
Its okay, to ask for help.
Its okay, to be afraid.
Its okay, not to be okay.
You need to know,
That you are not alone.
You have people around them.
But I don't think you realize
That I can see right through you.
Its okay.
There are people out there,
Who would die for you.
Maybe you haven't met them yet,
Or maybe you have.
But I have a name for special people like you.
I don't call them attention-seekers,
Or Emo,
Or bad,
But I call them
fighters.
Soldiers.
Angels.
They fight until the very end.
Here's the only problem,
You either win,
Or you die trying.
Here's to the kids who didn't survive 2013.
Because they were worth it.
I have a reason to smile at strangers these days.
Because if a stranger smiled at me,
Id feel pretty special.
That they looked at me,
And liked what they saw.
But I was you to know,
I see the darkness in your eyes.
It pains me.
The demons inside you,
They Are taking over.
You are at war.
Not with your parents,
Or friends,
Or family,
Or school,
But them self.
And
When I was a child,
Everything was perfect.
Then I loss my childhood innocence.
But that okay.
Because I grew up.
I got through life.
And so will you.
One day,
You will meet someone who will change their life.
Who will text you every second.
Who will literally save your life.
And until that person comes,
Here I am.
My arms wide open,
Ready to hug you in my arms and sing you to sleep.
I will say one thing,
When that day comes,
You will never be sad again.
Because
That day came for me.
And if you may ask,
He changed my life.
He saved it.
He loves me for who I am.
He is my best friend.
And I couldn't ask for a better one.
