Solitary Room
Left alone in a solitary room,
Filled with pain and sorrow,
Looking through the window panes,
The people outside all seem to be happy,
I see them smile, laugh, and play,
As I stare out my windows day after day,
I long to know what joy feels like,
But as my days slowly creep on,
I realize that I am not good enough for them,
They are better than me,
So I stay in my solitary room,
invisible to those I see through my window pane.
