Angels Bowling

My grandpa use to tell me,
that thunder was only
the angels bowling strikes.
Tonight as I lay and listen,
I imagine you bowling along with them,
and I cheer you on,
with each and every strike you get.

The author's comments:
This piece is inspired by my grandpa because he was and always will be my biggest role model in life and I cannot hear thunder without thinking of him because of the stories he'd tell me about bowling angels when I was little to ease my fear of storms.
