Wake up, This is no fairy tale
I tried to move on.
I tried to get over it.
I tried to understand.
I tried to keep trying.
But I failed.
I can't move on.
I can't get over it.
I can't understand.
But I also can't keep trying.
He may have changed his mind,
But I haven't changed mine.
He may have given up,
But I kept trying.
He may have let go,
But I held on tight.
He may have cared for another,
But I stayed the same.
He knows what's best,
Unfortunately I don't.
I haven't given up,
I haven't let go,
I haven't loved another,
And I certainly haven't changed my mind.
As much as I want to,
It's impossible to mind.
I want to give up,
I want to let go,
I want to change my mind,
But,
I don't want to love another.
Maryying your childhood sweetheart is a dream come true.
But it only happens in fairytales.
This is no Cinderella,
This is no Beauty & The Beast,
This is no Snow White.
In life you do not simply find the love of your life by losing your shoe.
Nor by having your father captured by a warm hearted beast.
Or by getting poinsoned by a witch, and then having Prince Charming to the rescue.
This is REALITY.
