Butterfly
What are you waiting for, butterfly?
You act as if you're still encased in your cocoon
Afraid to show yourself to the world because you've forgotten
Even caterpillars are beautiful in the springtime
Through sunshine and rainbow tinged skies
With pop bottle glasses changing your view of life in an instant
Remember when you were young, and the sky was the limit?
Funny, isn't it, how the sky is so much closer now.
The dreams are long gone, and rainbows were replaced with tears
You may be a butterfly now, but what good is a butterfly who is afraid to be beautiful?
