Glow.
An owl calls
Dying light back
Over new horizons.
The warm embrace
Of the sun
Was never destined here.
I am trapped
In this imminent night
As your effulgence moves farther.
But no words
Can tame a star
Like yourself.
Waning radiant splendor,
But all that remains
Is my memory of major reflection.
Blue and pallid
In the azure skies
Bringing cold loneliness
Sometimes
I want to harness that golden glow
Forever;
But it's in fresh lands
And I'll wait
Until the day;
When I see it again,
I'll bask in the emanating warmth
And wholeness
Of your evanescent,
Loving shine.
