That heart of mine once beat oh so sweet
The sight of your presence made it jump to rigorous beats
You’ve retreated to a foreign land
Where I’m not allowed
In the absence of your presence
My heart has slowed
Nearly to a fatal stop.
Longing for the sight of you
To send lethal progressions through these atriums of mine
No way to steady the evolutionist beats
To ease the uncertainties of my elevating love
To return my heart to its original condition,
Fast paced beats that beat oh so sweet
Your year has passed
Finally you return
From a foreign land, you were forced to embark upon
Seeing your face, hearing your heart, in syncopation with my emerging heartbeats
A new and improved vessel of our love is born yet again
That will no longer be ambiguous of the future
But only a precious vessel that will lie in the palms of your hands

Loved your poem.  Well done.  Very powerful.
