Simple Tranquility
Simple tranquility
Awaits at the willow,
Where there is no hardship
And there is no sorrow.
Oh peaceful willow tree
growing in the meadow
that dances in the breeze,
wait for me tomorrow.
For I yearn to be free
from wounds most unshallow,
as I lay in my bed
and wait for the 'morrow.
And the trials that we
had no right to borrow,
disappear from our sight
underneath the willow.
I dream of its leaves
in the sun's afterglow,
I'll soon sit underneath
on the grassy meadow.
Also then, what of thee?
For you love me I know,
I wonder if we will
meet under the willow.
Oh what will this wait be?
in bed, the night so slow,
when will the sun arise
to go to the willow?
Eventually asleep
in the moons soft shadow,
I dream of my troubles
in the form of a crow.
There is no guarantee
that I'll escape from this crow,
as my dreams they do haunt
of my pasts loud tempo.
Oh my God please save me
from this beasts overthrow!
For those memories stalk
but under the willow.
Oh bright sun hear my plea
alleviate Calypso!
And let me go under
the protective willow.
At long last I am free
For barely sunrise though,
as I dash out the door
And run to the meadow.
And there indeed I see
your smile a rainbow,
after all you did meet
me under the willow.
At last I'm in safety
and away from the crow,
as i lay with you
underneath the willow.
Oh the tranquility
let my joy overflow,
as I'm finally under
my beloved willow
