And in between all that
I changed;
I used to hide away in winter
But now I lie in the snow whispering words into the brisk air
I used to think that depression wasn’t an illness
But now I sit and cry in the shower for hours
I used to think that my body wouldn’t get fat
But now I’m the one standing on the scale pinching my thighs
My perception on the world was narrow
But now I know too much of this cruel world
Feelings used to be just mood swings
But now I laugh and shake with tears wondering why me
My friends were there any day anytime
But now I can’t even remember their names
Who has changed?
Me or society?
