You fall in love with the idea of love, not the person.

White shadows
Dancing in the air
The ballet slippers floating across the stage
The sounds of melodies
Filled with violins and soft flutes
The angry rhythms of the performers
Turn to dusk
Each shadow
Each glowing dress
They spin and twirl with angst grace
The ballet is corrupted
Of societies image
Skin and bones
Pink and frilly
Tutu’s and smiles
The spirit of the faded lights
Shine down upon
This stage

This concept came to me when I found a picture of this eerie setting; tiny girls dancing in tutus and I think our society has made ballet a concept of destruction.
