My Worst Fear

I'm not one to fear many things
But I am one that is terrified of just one thing
Loneliness
Having to live a life without anyone to talk to
Just an empty feeling that drives you insane
They think that controlling our lives are good
That we'll understand one day why they shelter us
When in reality it's eating away at us
We aren't allowed to do anything on our own
And it kills us
We are made to feel like failures
But I'd rather fail along with others
Than fail with my lonely self
