Lines On a Page
The pen smearing another useless line,
Another sentence that won't make a difference
To anybody but me
It eats at me, itching to be written down
Marking up another clear page,
What once was free of marks is now covered in scars
But they're much more than that,
They are the melody of my memory
Stored away until allowed to sound
They won't be locked away anymore
No, they are set free
As lines on this page
