An Open Box

February 21, 2014
By Anonymous

The sky is blue, the grass is green
Too bad the people are crying
The rain never came to their land
And the plants there are wilting

The cows are grazing on the meadow
Chewing while closing their eyes
Their tails swishing back and forth
Like a fan beating restless

Hummingbirds graze and fly around
Sucking all the honey out of the honeydews
While the bumblebees carry honey
In and out of their hive

I watch and paint on my canvas
That circle around my bed
The open box I drew
Illustrates all these events
On different parts of the world

This is a very sweet poem Monica. I love you being so creative with how you descirbe (I think) the canvas as being an open box. I wonder where did you get your inspiration?
