Forever to Chase
Time its own to waste
Ourselves we endlessly spend
Hands of clocks to face
My heart I shall lend
As time will always pass
And I wishfully behind it
Waiting for extravagance
Vengeance we will deny it
As a clock, generally circular,
Can never break like a heart
Concepts of one quite peculiar
Stopping to fall apart.
As I stand waiting for hours
Only slowing in seconds
Given too much time and it sours
Memories that seem to ascend,
Some days it picks up pace
Leaving me in its dusty path
Chocking on dirt’s filthy taste
And it still passes my soul to trap
