Never Forget
Remember the time
When we could run all day
And nothing mattered but how long we could play
We didn’t care about getting dirty
Staying out late was at about 7:30
We couldn’t reach the sink on our own
And we thought that 15 was grown
Catching fireflies was a hobby
And our answer to who did it was “nobody”
We had no responsibility
And we thought very little about our dignity
Now is the time
When we have to care
We take deep breaths but still we get no air
We put too much on our shoulders
To the point where it is impossible to move those boulders
So remember the time when you had no worries
And I promise that things will seem less blurry
