Separated and Together
Life was a beautiful flower while you floated aimlessly by.
I noticed the happiness you brought me daily, rain or shine, a postman's attitude.
You were there and I was here and you never left me,
We were stuck like crazy glue when miles separated us more so than mere feet or inches.
My joy was coveted by others, a diamond necklace among plastic jewels.
They took my light as I stumbled through the dark without a hand to hold.
Where are you? Come home to me.
