Demolished emotions, got them on a roll.
My heart still races as if I’m still running
like before. When I joined their table,
their eyes told me to go. And I did.

Now it’s me saying go away. Sometimes I want
someone to cry with; to scream at the world with.
But instead, I cry for help inside. In her fetal position,
I feel the real me deep in the space below.
Hoping to one day come out and introduce herself.

Give shadow masks to those who refuse to be noticed;
who want to be invisible. Come on now, show us
your words of judgment. Show us your hate
by mouth and hand. Bring in another Judgment Day.
Show me I can easily be broken. You can watch
my true self spill out like a new born anything.
Watch those shadow masked kids walk with me
by their side. Watch our flock of sorrow float
past your shoulders.
