All Seeing Eye
When I opened my eyes something was different
My music was strange and didn’t sound like it did the day before
The walk from my house to the bus stop took so long
I was more aware of the way the trees moved and their shadows
I was more aware of how cold I was and how my wool coat didn’t stand a chance against the ferocious wind
I noticed my sister walking ahead of me with her head down
She walked with the gait of a defeated human being
And it seemed her backpack carried a load heavier than the weight of books
Sitting on the bus I felt the bumps of the paved streets
I didn’t look at people the same
They were all so focused on what they were doing and it seemed my focus was different
I walked through school going from class to class
I moved mechanically in and out of doors
Each moment making me more aware of the people who surround me
I saw each of their auras and the dullness of each of them
How their very spirit seemed to fall away
I continued on not giving my opinion and listening
Using my third eye to its fullest capacity while I have it
When I got home I didn’t do my homework
I went and rested on my bed in the dark and listened to the rain
I thought of everything I had seen and why I hadn’t seen it before
I had looked that day with my third eye the one no one could see
The one resting in the heart of my mind.
