Give It Up
Give It Up
Here you are, acting so tough, just another slip up,
Just another reason I keep a tight lid on this cup
Of emotions inside me, you think you can keep up?
Keep pressing your luck- I’ve got that all instilled in my blood.
I’m sorry I’m just not impressed by your lack of duress,
Missing ambition with a twist of bitterness and pinch of distress.
I’ve seen more from you but only for a moment or two.
You think you know you.
Who are you? Oh who-
Could possibly be
So unsatisfactory
In every which way?
Ways and means,
Still stuck in your teens.
You’ll never be
Who you want to be.
And now you’ll always be
Without me.
