Who you see
When you look at me
What do you see
Do you see a happy little girl
Is she ready to conquer the world
Have you ever thought to look for what the smile hides
Bothered to ask about the tears that flow like ocean tides
Did you consider that maybe just a hug
Could lift some of the weight she must lug
Do you think she wishes someone cared
Just one person in which her stories she could share
Do you think she's been hurt
ever thought to ask about the marks under her shirt
Do you wonder why she puts up a wall
Is it because she is too afraid to fall
Next time you look at me
Will you see me differently?
