Irony of the Bowtie
Foible yellow—
Not like the sun or the hysterical cheerleader-
not like the person that lives for the spotlight,
not like the rest who wear narrow ties.
There is confidence—
Knowing where to walk and having perspective,
yet there is alteration to the pattern.
Sure there’s a draby blue—
So tempted to blend in the sky-
he stands out wearing the bowtie,
it’s as if every imperfection is a star.
There is irony—
Being noticed differentiates the days.
Turning from a drab to the hysterical—resented—groupie.
