Keys to Doors, Doors to Keys
The future is approaching, as you can already see
I live life looking for doors, to open with my set of keys
Or is it the keys that I am looking for, and I have all the doors
I am not really sure, I am constantly searching for more
With my youth in the palm of my hand, in which I delicately hold
I make sure I keep it clean, at least until I grow old
Humans spend their youth wondering about what will happen next
And they simply do not realize that they also have to keep the present in check
If what is happening at the moment is not handled in the right way
The future will mean nothing, it won’t matter what anyone will say
Living in the moment is what is most important no matter how old you are
That is something we all have in common, just like everyone can see the stars
The stars have a lot in common with us, more than most would think we do
They are original, and shine bright, and there are far from a few
Stars are beautiful, different, and vary in shape and size
Just like humans can vary, in the texture of their hair, or the color of their eyes
We are different, yet much the same and we live together on this earth
We usually tend to forget how incredible this world is, and what it is truly worth
We are lucky to have a heartbeat, to walk, or to run
Because eventually as we grow older, we get closer to the sun
I don’t mind where I go, whether I go up or go down
I just want to end my life being happy, feel worthy of a crown
And if I go up or down, to the side, or stay on the ground
I will always know that whether I am searching for keys to doors, or doors to keys, something will always be found.
