Gently as the night falls
I can hear all of your calls.
Your voice so gentle and kind,
Full of peace that is hard to find.
My heart skips a beat
Realizing that there’s some defeat
But surprisingly okay
Knowing that you’re here to stay,
Slowly loving day and night
Finally giving up the fight
And letting things fall
Exactly where they belong after all.
