Last Sunset
Beautiful sun rises over luxurious town,
Where once people talked and played,
Little did they know the gods were angry.
Rumbling, tumbling, trembling as Earth, itself, splits into a rage of fire.
Smoldering heat of lava racing down rugged hills,
Like warhorses running into battle.
Homes destroyed.
Sounds of screams echo through panicked town,
As quiet sun sets, debris and lifeless figures of ash remain.
Buried alive, city is drowned.
