If Words Could Kill
If words could kill, you would have died
A tragic death, with no hope of resistance
Your blood spilled in dark streams of ink
Banded tulips on the blank page between us,
Crimson flowers blooming between the lines
I carry with me the wounds you inflicted:
Though not fatal, they cripple me still
I feel them with the beat of my pulse
I see them on the edges of my vision
Words that sting, conquered by my reply
Elegance of the boline
Precision of the arrow
Power of Mjollnir
The pen is mightier than the sword,
And mine is twice as sharp
