Plucked From a Rosebush is Me
A young girl
who watches as deaths stagger
tearing the threads from an already broken heart
who understands what her classmates cannot fathom.
A young girl
who watches her reflection plaster a smile upon her delicate face
carved from heartache and loss.
A young girl
plucked from the rosebush
budding and harmless in reality’s hands
who takes one last look around her
only to see blood
before being dropped to the soil.
