Within
Darkened fog lurks over these towering walls
Consuming around the continuing rows
Shadowing their figures with its vehement tongue
Its deceased planets and rotten flowers fume the air with a deadly pleasure
Trees whose branches stretch upwards, trying to grasp onto the invisible sky
Begging for someone to reach through the clouds to save them
Its beast stalk with glowing eyes
Tempting its prey with its swift grace
They snatch and claw at those who wander
And I among them walk with similar scars from those hidden things
Lacing myself through the trees
Treading on damp ground
Running and running as far as I can go
Up ahead I have heard an opening awaits
Clean and fresh far beyond my sight
However I have but far to go
And looks can be deceiving.
