The Little Mermaid Retelling
A beautiful young mermaid,
Swims in the Caspian Sea,
Hopelessly longing to be human,
And live life with a prince happily.
After a tousle with her father,
The ruler of the sea,
She makes a deal with the devil,
That proves to be more than a bother.
She exchanges her most precious gift
For a pair of legs,
As any love struck heart would,
But little does she know,
True loves kiss will not be in her reach.
The evil octopus beast will come in her way,
To steal her prince, Eric,
And throw her plans astray.
As she disrupts the nuptials,
Her voice returns to it’s home,
To break the curse,
And win Eric’s love back for her own.
The wicked beast is gone,
And they are free to love as they wish,
With Arial as a human,
And Eric as her Prince.
