"What's in this box?" when you see it you ask
It's not even the size of a very small flask
Well, it looks so old and it's been here a while
Something hides in the depths and it's something vile
Designed for a jumpscare, a hair raiser too
When you pull back the knob, it comes out at you
"Oh go on, pull it back" and you do, it's a snake
You scream and you throw it, the tiny box breaks

The author's comments:
I wrote this for English class. It's about a simple toy from Morocco where when you pull back the cover, a wooden snake comes out at you. It can actually be quite scary the first time. Enjoy! Critique and good votes appreciated!

Haha, sorry. I just like Emily Dickinson, haha. Thanks again.

Thanks. Weird to be complimented on my poetry by someone named "MissEmilyDickinson".
