I am me
A girl in black rain boots spattered with mud
Dark hair that swirls round a dirty mug
Skin that is pale and dreaming of sun
Eyes reflecting forest, a color quite fun
The width of a tree that is no longer green
Feet that go clomp and arms that go swing
A height not enough to reach a star
A grain of rice at the bottom of the jar
Who am I? She asked the wise trees
But then answers herself and says,
"I am me"
