You waited for me
to appear
Before you left you smiled
said goodbye I love you
I didn't realize
you meant goodbye
for good
So of course i smiled
kissed your cheek
hugged you tight
whispered in your ear
get better grandpa
and left
you did visit
later at night of course
i knew
before news reached me
you waited.
