Beautiful Blizzard of Worries

My entire existence
consists of
acquaintances
wearing painted smiles
submerged in my thoughts.

Occasionally,
an outside force disrupts the system
snowing down concerns

My home is made of glass
and I must ensure it’s safety;
If I don’t,
I will collapse.

A masked disturbance
intrudes my conscience:
“trust”.

My whole world
was in their hands,
and carelessly, it
escaped their grip.

A million shattered pieces lie,
abandoned,
as every internal thought spills out.

The shards kiss my skin;
cuts grow,
I acknowledge more harm than good
is being done
recreating what once was my home
out of it’s lifeless shell.

Examining from above
pain is disguised;
a blizzard of worries
appear beautiful in the eyes of others…
like a snow globe.

I've learned through the years that life is filled with troubles and worries. It takes time to build yourself up when you're broken down, but when you get the strength to stand back up,people admire you for your strength and perseverance to keep going.

Turning your past experiences into something positive, or looking at them in a more positive way is what I hope it taken away from this poem. Though your whole world is crumbling down around you, there's always someone admiring your strength to stay standing tall. I think that knowledge is extremely important when life puts you up again something difficult.

“Gods of Olympus.” Piper stared at Leo. “What happened to you?”
His hair was greased back. He had welding goggles on his forehead, a lipstick mark on his cheek, tattoos all over his arms, and a T-shirt that read HOT STUFF, BAD BOY, and TEAM LEO.
“Long story,” he said.”

This poem is like a breath of fresh air. Great work!
