Where I'm Safe...
I look out my window—the window of the world
And I’m glad that I’m inside looking out.
I see cables and wires and copper-iron casts
that keep all the people from escape.
They stay hooked up and plugged in and locked out-
They don’t seem to mind it at all.
But when I peer out of that square on my wall-
I’m glad that I’m inside looking out.
