Favorite Quote:
Everything by Oscar Wilde and Ambrose Bierce

Life’s wet subsistence falls from the sky
An eternity of terrestrial nutrition lays before me
A vibrant painting by god himself
Everything vital to man stretches infinitely

but in the distance a lumbering figure trudges
behold, the Lord of the Flies
He scours the utopia
pillaging god’s gifts

A pathetic primal beast
clouded in primitive greed
ugly and spiteful
from every aspect of its being

There, in the distance
Approaches a wave of obscurity
Like the hand of god
engulfing the valley

All is black
the lord has been obliterated
the newly submerged universe
celebrates with fluorescent lights

Mysterious giants flash artificial beams
Floating aimlessly through the eternal darkness
Are we not overdue
for a drastic change of scenery ?

(Out my bedroom window
I see the wave lingering
stealthily anticipating
The right moment to overthrow us lords)

I wasn't sure whether to include the last few lines, they kind of gives away the symbolic moral of this surreal poem.
