Heart vs. Brain
Some people say
The brain is the most vital organ
I say the heart
Has a job more important
Because without my heart
I wouldn't know love or pain
And in conflicts between the two
The one who fails is my brain
My heart is the victor
In every internal battle
But it's like riding a horse
Without a saddle
There's a higher risk
Of getting injured and hurt
Although in the moment, it feels right
In the end, I'll be left on the outskirts
Because where your heart
Is yearning for yes
Your brain screams no
And prepares for the mess
In each situation
My heart has put me into
It has ended in tears
Or ripped me in two
I feel it's unfair
To associate my heart with light
For it is my brain
Who is more bright
And while I love my heart
As much as my brain
I sometimes hate them both
All the same
