We grow up slowly, but also incredibly quickly.
We go from knowing nothing to thinking we know everything,
From sleeping with our parents when we got scared
To being alone.
When you're young the world seems so big,
But now that you're grown, you realize just how small it really is.
The world that seemed so gigantic
Is now as small as you used to be.
The world is shrinking
And you are growing.
Time flies faster than you would have ever dreamed.
Now here you are, grown.
We grow up slowly, but also incredibly quickly
When we grow up,
All we can do is look back-
Back at a life where we weren't grown up-
When we were playing in the sandbox
Without a care in the world;
And here we are now!
