An Ode to Chemistry (and Kuz)
1.
there is a sea
inside me
I feel it drown
the sailors of
my heart
in your doors
in your home
their screams deafen me
to daylight
by the time the last one fades to sighs
I am a creature of
infinite
mourning.
2.
the air wriggles down my throat
like a spider in the night
and their screams are
so
so
loud
I wriggle too
trying to get comfortable
adjusting in a foreign skin
betrayed by my own body
every organ prickling to
form a cage around
my soul
get out
it says
get out.

Have you ever been bad at something that somehow gives you the feeling you're bad at everything else?

Me too.
