When It Rains
I find origin
In walking in the rain.
I find peace,
I find wildness
In taking off my hood
And letting the sky
Slither down my hair,
Slide from the tip of my nose,
Spread itself out across my feet.
It shows me things
I will never know otherwise
And yet I fear
That we have poisoned it,
And it may contain contaminants
And cancer.
