last goodbye
my eyes wander to the
moon and the constellation
of your eyes
my feet wobble with despair
off balance, I walk letting
tears turn into waterfalls of grief
for the black matter of sky has
been swallowed and
turned to the grey of abandonment
because I miss him like the wind
whispering movements of mobility
the fluttering wings that try to
fly away from its disabled body
like the sun taking in somber
breaths of air awaiting
the moons arrival
Its black and white today
From mothers lips I found
the truth escaping with fists
of anger and hurt
the sun is out though my
eyes are shaded,
the house is full, but all is
blank with confusion
this is the chemical imbalance
of destruction releasing its gasp.
The days do not pass
by that I do not cry
they say to take it day by day
all I can say is goodbye to the sun
because my final day has come.
