Country's Bliss
Rubber shredding tires roll upon
the gravel roads leading me here
to the humming bird singing to the trees
glowing with the light of day
sun light
shines through the windows
of growing trees
the yellow barn is
guarded by the force field
of nature that we all seem
to become
lost in.
With no towering buildings
in our midst
no sirens of police
locking handcuffs or
fire trucks speeding
through red lights
the dogs eyes are lit
with happiness that lights up the
setting sky
the murmur of speaking
birds fly across the sturdy deck
feet walk down
the country bliss speaks
louder than the city madness.
