Insufferable
That blood red sweater
that should hug tight,
still hangs loose
on your small arms.
I try to talk,
to be there with you,
but you don't stop.
You talk,
and talk,
and talk.
I don't have a chance.
You wonder why
I don't come anymore,
I'm busy I say
and you take it.
You'd take any excuse
at this point,
I would guess.
We stop seeing each other.
You've become insufferable.
We don't talk.
We don't meet.
I'm not there for you anymore.
And I think I finally
have a chance.
Months pass.
And you're lonely.
You've lost your chance,
your only chance.
